THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 20 Aug 1987: 'Funeral services for Carolyn C. Anderson of Roxton were conducted Wednesday, 19 Aug, at the Rocky Ford Baptist Church in Roxton with the Rev. G.D. Weatherall officiating. Maxey Funeral Home made burial in Rocky Ford Cemetery. Miss Anderson died Saturday, 15 Aug 1987. She was born 12 Aug 1952, in Roxton, a daughter of John D. and Florida Mae Bennett Anderson. She attended Roxton school and was a member of the Rocky Ford Baptist Church. Surviving are her parents; a brother, Doyle Eugene Anderson of Roxton; a stepbrother, Rolla Charles Young of Dallas; two stepsisters, Shirley Butler of DeSoto and Tammy Williams of Dallas; and her grandparents, Lois Richards of Roxton and Hilda Mae Young of Roxton.'
