AMORY – Nell Johnson Box, 93, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. Born April 25, 1920, in Sulligent, she was a daughter of Howard and Willie Moore Johnson. She married Roy Box in 1938. She attended school in Sulligent and retired from Amory Garment 23 years ago after many years of Service. She attended church at St. Matthew's Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family, going to auction sales with her husband, fishing, which was her passion, working in her flowers gardens and talking, which she was good at.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Chism (Dan) of Amory; grandson, Danny Chism of Amory and great-grandson, Josh Chism of Amory; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 21, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Monoghan and Bro. Glen Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Boyd Duncan, Charles Watson, Mitch Willis, Gary Umfress, Bobby Phillips and Kenny Gilmore.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Carter, Arlis Lee, Charles Gilmore and Bill Fisher.
