GRUVER - Irene Baker, 79, a former Dumas resident, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Assembly of God in Dumas with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired pastor, and James Kinnard, minister of Gruver Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Baker was born in Coalgate, Okla. She moved to Dumas in 1951 and to Gruver in 1992. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Dumas.

She married William Henry Baker in 1940 at Mountain View, Okla. He died in 1979.

Survivors include three sons, William Junior Baker and Donald Leroy Baker, both of Dumas, and Raymond Harold Baker of Amarillo; two daughters, Katherine Delois Seale of Hardesty, Okla., and Frances Irene Lee of Gruver; a brother, Albert Bird of Edmond, Okla.; four sisters, Pearlie Perks of San Jose, Calif., Lizzie Lee of Blackwell, Okla., Clarice Spaulding of Moore, Okla., and Shirley Raper of Del City, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 1308 Mills in Dumas. They request memorials be to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1208, Dumas, TX 79029, or to the American Diabetes Association, 4242 Medical Dr., Suite 7200, San Antonio, TX 78229.
