SULPHUR SPRINGS — A.Z. Aven, 87, of Yantis died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at League Street Church of Christ with Revs. Jay Lockhart and Sam Seveir officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Arbala Cemetery under the direction of Hopkins County Military Coalition.
Mr. Aven was born April 26, 1918, in Weiland to Francis Leser and Sue Emily Slater Aven.
Mr. Aven was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the League Street Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
