"Resolutions of Respect.
At a regular meeting of the Henry Metcalf Post, No. 431, Dept. of Pa., G. A. R., February 7, 1885, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:
Whereas; It has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from our midst by death, our dear comrade and brother, Riley S. Dexter, therefore be it
Resolved, That by death of our late comrade, this Post has lost one of its faithful and honored members, and society a useful, and respected citizen.
Resolved, That while we deeply mourn the loss of our comrade, we bow in humble summission to the will of our Surpreme Commander, who "doeth all things well." Knowing that soon we shall be called to join the "Grand Army" above, never again to hear the mourning roll call on earth, and that our names will soon be added to those who slumber in the grave and "dream of battle fields no more."
Resolved, That we extend to the bereaved family our comrade, our earnest sympathy in this, the hour of their affliction.
Resolved, That these resolutions be entered upon the records of the Post, and that a copy be sent to the family of our deceased comrade, and to the Port Allegany REPORTER for publication. E. HORTON, Com. B.G. Bartle, Ajt."

"Resolutions of Respect.
At a regular meeting of the Henry Metcalf Post, No. 431, Dept. of Pa., G. A. R., February 7, 1885, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted:
Whereas; It has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from our midst by death, our dear comrade and brother, Riley S. Dexter, therefore be it
Resolved, That by death of our late comrade, this Post has lost one of its faithful and honored members, and society a useful, and respected citizen.
Resolved, That while we deeply mourn the loss of our comrade, we bow in humble summission to the will of our Surpreme Commander, who "doeth all things well." Knowing that soon we shall be called to join the "Grand Army" above, never again to hear the mourning roll call on earth, and that our names will soon be added to those who slumber in the grave and "dream of battle fields no more."
Resolved, That we extend to the bereaved family our comrade, our earnest sympathy in this, the hour of their affliction.
Resolved, That these resolutions be entered upon the records of the Post, and that a copy be sent to the family of our deceased comrade, and to the Port Allegany REPORTER for publication. E. HORTON, Com. B.G. Bartle, Ajt."
