The Lamar County Echo, May 1979. 'Bobby L. Boutwell, 44, of 750 Bonham Street, died Wednesday, May 16, 1979, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 17, in the Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Hostetler officiating. Graveside services and burial were held Friday, May 18, at Henson Cemetery in Seymour.
Mr. Boutwell was born September 25, 1934, in Breckenridge, a son of Willie Thomas and Mattie Lois Conley Boutwell. He attended schools in Haskell and married Juanita Smith on September 9, 1954, in Sherman. They lived in Midland where he was employed by Sunray D-X Oil Company until 1968, when they moved to Paris. For the past five years he was employed in the receiving department at Merico Snack Foods. He was a member of the East Paris Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bobby Gerald Boutwell of Paris, and James Lester Smith of Houston; one step-granddaughter, Surena Murry of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Geraldine Cole of Abilene; and his parents of Haskell'.
