She was born January 3, 1912 in Antelope Gap, Texas to Richard J. and Bertha (Bertchiger) Tweedle.
She was a resident of West Columbia for over 50 years, member of Columbia United Methodist Church, member of Rebekah Jurisdictional Lodge #444 and Wesley Sunday School Class.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Columbia United Methodist Church in West Columbia with the Rev. Greg Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Eva is survived by: her sister, Jessie M. Wright of Bay City; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Stuart G. Adkins; parents; son, Gordon S. “Dick” Adkins; granddaughter, Monica Lynn Adkins; great great grandson, Brennen Saucedo; five brothers; and four sisters.
