Milem T. Adkins, 104, of Morehouse, MO, died April 24, 2003, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.
Born July 20, 1898, in Morehouse, son of the late William Taylor and Susie Millington Adkins, he was a lifelong resident of Morehouse and a retired carpenter and farmer.
On Oct. 7, 1918, in Oklahoma, he married Sarah Jane Anderson who preceded him in death on Aug. 27, 1996.
Survivors include: one son, Elvin Adkins; one daughter, Opal Jackson; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-Grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Verlon Adkins, in 1934.
Visitation was held at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse, where services were conducted with The Rev. Gary Myers of Sikeston officiating.
Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Note: I realize the obit for Milem states he was buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery but his tombstone is in Memorial Park Cemetery and I have not found a tombstone in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
