Julia Absher, Homemaker 66, of Route 2 died Dec. 23, 1989, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Concord United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Hayward Morrison officiating. Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Carpenter's Funeral Home in Cherryville.

Mrs. Absher, a secretary, was born in Lockhart, S.C., daughter of the late Govan and Mable Ammons Armstrong. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Evan Absher; sons, Grady Absher of Cherryville, Tom Absher; daughter, Mrs. Joyce Bailey of Norfolk; brother, Bob Armstrong of Spindale; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Memorials can be made to a Hospice Inc. of the donor's choice.
