Morse or Moss Copsey shot himself when he was about 70 years of age. He was buried in a cemetery in the Excelsior Valley, Lake County, California, in an open field on the west bank of Copsey Creek. It was on the Noble Green Ranch and was in use in the 1860s. It was kept up until the 1930s and then was obliterated by the land owner. (Mauldin History)
