Daughter of Charles and Madeline Meysan, retail shop owners from France. Alice was killed in the family's Lone Pine home, which was destroyed during the 1872 Owens Valley Earthquake.

27 people in total were killed in Lone Pine and neighboring towns by the massive earthquake (which is estimated between a 7.9 and 8.3). Sixteen of the victims are interred in a common grave on the north end of Lone Pine, and Alice is buried there.
