Charles was the son of immigrant parents-Jacob Borror (Borer) of Germany and Barbara Tschudi (Judy) of Switzerland. Charles was married to Sidney Wees, d/o of Jacob & Elizabetha Catherine Wildfang Wees, in 1782. Charles & Sidney had the following children:

Sarah Elizabeth Borror(17831860), John W Borror(1788-1863), Jacob Borror(17901875), Solomon Borror(17921875),Martin Borror(17981886), George Borror(1800?),Phoebe Borror(18011869, Magdalena Borer(1804?), Elizabeth(Jennie)Borror (18061906).

Charles was a Private in the Revoluntionary War, Virginia Infantry. He was granted a pension of $30/yr.,in 1835, for his service. Charles amassed a total of approx 461 acres of land in the South Mill Creek & Mill Creek areas, during the years 1810,1815,1835,& 1838. It was upon some of this land that he built his homestead, which is situated across the road from this cemetery. Charles was the first "Borror" known to have this farm, originally in Hampshire Co.,VA. Charles' son, Martin, inherited the farm upon Charles death. Isaac Borror inherited the farm from his father, Martin, but eventually sold the farm to the Riggleman family, upon his move to Indiana, around 1887 or 1888.

Charles was my 4th great grandfather.

This marker was formally dedicated 24 Jun 1995 by the Borror Family Association to commemorate Charles Borror and his brothers, Jacob & Thomas. The front of the marker is inscribed as follows:
"Blest Be The Tie That Binds"
