REVOLUTIONARY WAR SOLDIER

Abiel Fellows served in the Connecticut line and fought in the battle of Saratoga.

Mr. Fellows came to Michigan in 1829 and was closely identified with the settlement of Kalamazoo county.

In honor of his daughter Lucy, (Mrs. B. E. Andrews), the organizing regent of the Three Rivers chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, the chapter was named "The Abiel Fellows Chapter," in 1905.
