Manuel Salvador, a native of Llaves, New Mexico; passed away at his home in Capulin, surrounded by his loving family. Manuel was prdeeceased by his parents; son Salvador Arellano; two grandsons; and numerous brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

Manuel was survived by his wife Maria of Gallina; sons: Roberto Fidel (wife Angie) of Green River, Wyoming; Mike (wife Teresa) of Gallina, Chris (wife Denise) of Green River, Raymond (wife Corina) of Albuquerque, Floyd (wife Vicki) of Morongo Valley, California; and Manuel Jr. of Gallina; 3 daughters: Sussie (husband Daniel Shellman) of Green River, Karen (husband Raul Muņoz) of Green River, and Leona (husband Joe Dallmann) of Rio Rancho; 27 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; brother Jacobo Arellano; sister Rose Cordova of Gallina; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, God-children; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A family he treasured.

Manuel attended schools in Arroyo Blanco and Regina, New Mexico. On December 26, 1949, he married Maria O. Chavez of Capulin, in Gallina. They celebrated 62 plus years of marriage. He worked in the Gallina area for the logging industry and local sawmill, Santa Fe National Forest, and as a carpenter for many years. In 1978 he moved to Green River, Wyoming. He worked for the Carpenters Union and for the Trona Mining Industry for FMC Corporation where he retired after 13 years of service in 1992. Manuel had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed traveling, playing guitar, singing, building things, camping, hunting, fishing and working on his ranch, Piņon Ridge in La Tableta. He served his community of Gallina under various capacities. He was instrumental in building and maintaining the water association at the Upper Capulin. He served as a forest fire-fighter for the National Forest Service. His greatest passion was playing guitar and singing with the church choir and other occasions. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina and Santo Niņo Catholic Church in Capulin, he also became a member of the Knights of Columbus while also a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Green River.

Public visitation and Rosary were on October 23, 2012 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A second Rosary was recited on October 24, 2012 at Nuestra Seņora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina. Mass of Christian burial was on October 25, 2012 at Nuestra Seņora de Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina. Burial followed at Capulin Cemetery in Gallina. Pallbearers: Harold Arellano, Antonio Muņoz, D.J. Shellmann, Ricky Pierson, Leonard Arellano and Garrett Arellano. Honorary pallbearers: Derrell Arellano, Marcos Muņoz, Gaiten Arellano, Christopher Dallmann, Donovan Shellmann and his six sons.
