Robert joined the Royal West Kents in 1916 and spent his time in India. He was returning home from India when he was taken ill off of Gibraltar. He landed at Devonport on 21st November and was taken straight to Devonport hospital where he died on the 27th.∼Robert Charles- Born in Bromley, Kent in 1879
