George Bennett Aycock, 66, of Goldsboro died Tuesday at his residence.

He was born in Wayne County to the late Bennett Barnes and Blanche Drucilla Pearce Aycock. A Primitive Baptist, he was a retired corrections officer with the N.C. Department of Correction. A member of Wayne Masonic Lodge No. 112, he was a past master and past district deputy grand lecturer. He was also a member of the Goldsboro York Rite Bodies, where he had received the honor of KYCH and the Order of the Purple Cross.
