Mary L. Dunn age 83 of Mill Shoals, died Sunday morning February 3, 2008 at the Mt. Vernon Healthcare Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. She was born August 26, 1924 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Alva and Verde (Hullet) Brown.

She first married Norval S. Lowe and later married Carl E. Dunn. They both preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dunn had worked as an inspector at Airtex in Fairfield. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Mill Shoals.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Penny Dunn of Xenia; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Miles Friend of Mill Shoals; Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Brown of Fairfield; and one sister, Pauline Harris of Carmi. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Glen, Leo and Cecil and Otto Brown and three sisters, Edna Reynolds, Bess Bassett and Helen Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday February 7, 2008 at the Antioch Baptist Church near Mill Shoals with burial in the Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at the church. The Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
