Brenda Adkins Baker was the wife of Richard Bennett "Dick" Baker.

She was a native of Florida and the daughter of Bill and Betty Adkins of Lakeland, Fla. She was an elementary school teacher for 31 years and retired from Pendleton Elementary School.

She graduated from Presbyterian College, where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Education, magna cum laude, and Clemson University, where she earned a Masters in Education. She was a member and Elder of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church.
