A homemaker and a resident of Port Allen, she died at 2:52 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 74 and a native of Pointe Coupee.
Arrangements by Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service. Religious service at Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Port Allen, conducted by the Rev. Joe Paul. Interment in the church cemetery.
She is survived by five daughters and three sons-in-law, Betty and John A. Wilson, Gertrude and Carl Anderson, Lee Ann Maze and Olevia Maze, all of Port Allen, and Michelle and Michael Williams, of Erwinville;
stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Rose and Anthony Martin, of Port Allen;
five sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Rose Jones, of Fayetteville, N.C., Joseph "Rico" Jones, of Gonzales, Herbert Maze Jr. and Johnny Maze, both of Erwinville, and Willie and Sharon Maze, of Baton Rouge;
two sisters, Iceola Nixon, of Baton Rouge and Mary Helen Williams, of New Orleans;
three brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie Jr. and Shirley Williams, of New Orleans, Herman Sr. and Sarah Williams, of Kenner, and Joseph Sr. and Lucille Williams, of Baton Rouge;
40 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Williams; father, Willie Williams Sr.; ex-husband, James Jones Sr.; husband, Herbert Maze Jr.; daughter, Shirley Gibson; two sons, Rogers Jones and an infant son; two sisters, Eula Manchester and Ethel Lee Williams; and three brothers.
