Omer J. Hochstedler, 77, of Arthur died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2007) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 26, 1930, son of John and Lena Mast Hochstedler.
He married Rebecca Mast in 1953; she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Dale Hochstedler; one daughter, Marjorie Herschberger; five sisters, Mattie Hochstedler of Kalona, Iowa, Annie Gingerich of Bloomfield, Iowa, Fannie Hochstedler of Kalona, Iowa, Amanda Hochstedler of Kalona, Iowa, and Alta Hochstedler of Kalona, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Mr. Hochstedler was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Pleasant View Church.
