EUREKA - Freida C. Mogler, 95, of Eureka, formerly of Lester, Iowa, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at 11:10 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1916, in Lyon County, Iowa, to Fred and Karoline Knobloch Metzger. She married Andy Mogler on Nov. 5, 1950, in Lester, Iowa. He survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Randy (Evie) Mogler of Morton, Russ (Linda) Mogler of Evergreen, Colo., and Jay (Holly) Mogler of Elk River, Minn.; two grandchildren, Luke and Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Katy; two sisters, Lydiann (Carl) Wyss and Pearline Streitmatter, both of Washington; two brothers, Elmer (Marriann) Metzger of Lester, Iowa, and Roy (Evelyn) Metzger of Bloomfield, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Alice Metzger and Esty Metzger, both of Lester, Iowa; and one brother-in-law, Russell Wuthrich of Bloomfield, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elysia Karoline Mogler, seven brothers and two sisters.

For the majority of her life, Freida lived in Lester, Iowa. At 92 years of age, she and her husband, Andy, moved to Eureka.

Freida enjoyed serving others and did this in several ways. She particularly loved baking dinner rolls and making preserves, which she shared with many people. She loved her family and supported her church family in any way she could. The deepest joy she had in life was serving her Lord Jesus Christ.

She was a member of the Washington Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Washington Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.
