Graveside services for Freddie Mac Allen, 61, of Houston will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Floydada Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005.

Mr. Allen died Sunday, April 3, 2005 in Houston.

He was born on February 29, 1944 in Amarillo. He lived in Floydada and graduated from Floydada High School in 1962. He served in the Viet Nam War in 1965. Following his tour of duty he enrolled in Mortuary School in Dallas and upon graduation worked at various funeral homes in the area before moving to Houston in 1977. He owned and operated Escort Funeral Services until 1998 and Cristo Rey Funeral Home from 1991 until he sold it in 1998. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by one half brother, Jerry Pollan of Arlington.

Survivors include his wife, Erma of Houston; one son, Nick Allen of Houston; one grandson, Ethan; mother and step father, Ed and Evelyn Pollan of Lubbock; father and step mother, Maxie and Jo Allen of Amarillo; one sister, Carolyn Wilson of Amarillo; one step sister, Kay Queen of Hughes Springs; one step brother, Mike Pollan of Marble Falls; two half brothers, Kelly Allen of South Carolina, David Allen of Arlington and one half sister, Sharon Whittington of San Antonio.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Floydada Senior Citizens, 301 E. Georgia, Floydada, Texas 79235.
