Jonathan J. "Skeeter" Byrd a welder and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2007. He was 25. Visiting at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Highway, on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Service at the center on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Freddie Williams. Interment in Orange Grove Cemetery, Port Allen. He is survived by his parents, Mary and Johnny Byrd Jr.; a sister, Lonnie Byrd; four brothers, Johnny Byrd III, Gary Byrd, twin Timothy Byrd and T'wayne Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Johnny Byrd Sr. and Freddie Walker Sr.; aunt, Rose L. Byrd; and uncle, Charles E. Walker. Pallbearers will be Johnny Byrd III, Gary Byrd, Timothy Byrd, Bradley Byrd, Christopher Byrd, Cedric Jackson and T'wayne Wright. Honorary pallbearers are John Allen, Freddie Walker Jr., Lionel Walker, Michael Walker, Archie Byrd, Ronald Walker and Donald Walker.
