Pearl Marie Alig, 86, of Austin, TX passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014.
She was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, on November 4, 1927, to the late Marie and Frank Simms. Pearl graduated from DeRidder High School in 1944. She married the late Robert Alig in DeRidder on September 11, 1946.
Pearl enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother and a kind and generous friend to anyone who knew her. Her personality and wonderful smile could light up a room.
She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Alig; grandson, Michael Alig and Forest Alig; parents, Frank and Marie Simms.
Pearl is survived by her daughter, Bridget Patrick; sons, Brett Alig, Greg Alig and Butch Alig; grandchildren, Amy Patrick, Mikie Patrick, Travis Avery, Casey Alig, Chelsea Alig and Theresa Alig. She also has ten great grandchildren.
Visitation and funeral service will be held Friday, June 6th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 1200 Bagdad Road in Leander. Visitation at 1:00 pm and funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Bagdad Cemetery located on the corner of Nameless Road (2243) and Bagdad.
