Abraham Bidelspacher died at his home near the old Dunkard meeting house in Bloomingrove last Saturday morning at the age of 82 years. He was the oldest of 8 children.
He was born in the village of Moehringan neat Stuttgart in 1821. His father Ulrich Bidelspacher who had served with Napoleon in the disastrous Russian campaign came to America with his wife & their 2 sons Abraham & George.
The family lived in Philadelphia for a few years & then settled in Rose Valley in Lycoming county. Abraham worked on his fathers farm for a few years, made shoes in the winter & later taught school. He cut out a farm & married . His first wife died. He later married Sophia Ulmer who survives him.
Mr. Bidelspacher was a farmer , kind, honest & God fearing.
