Jesse James Bradley, 82, of Hot Springs, Virginia died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs, Virginia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 25, 1930 in Kermit, West Virginia, the son of the late William M. Bradley and Lanor Messer Bradley.
Mr. Bradley worked cutting pulp wood for most of his life and later started his own fencing business. He was a member of Eden United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was one of the most caring and selfless people you would ever meet and come in contact with.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Elaine Creamer Bradley of Hot Springs; two children, Francis Bradley & wife Rose of Naoma, West Virginia and Joyce Ann Martin of Hot Springs, Virginia; a step son, Tommy Creamer of Hot Springs; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ardie Robertson of Warm Springs, Virginia, Sylvia Law & husband Bobby of Covington, Virginia, Elizabeth Evans & husband Arthur of Spotsylvania, Virginia and Ida Faye Weeks of Clifton Forge, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Bradley, who preceded him in death on August 1, 2001; a brother, Fred Bradley; a sister, Rosie Creswell; and a son-in-law, James Robert Martin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Eden United Methodist Church with Pastor Byong Ahn officiating. Interment will be in Jacob Cleek Cemetery. Pallbearers will Glen Robertson, Kevin Robertson, Johnny Martin, Walter Davis, Walley Robertson and Brytan Van Gaasbeck.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at McLaughlin and Young Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
