"DOCTOR" HENRY H. WIERMAN DIES AT YORK SPRINGS
Native of County, Veteran of Civil War, Dies at the Age of 85 Years.
Henry H. Wierman, of Wierman's Mill, a native of Adams County, and veteran of the Civil War, died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at the home of his niece, Mrs. Maude Wierman Kennedy, Wierman's Mill. Death was due to infirmities of age. He was 85 years old, and was known to most of his friends as "Doctor" Wierman.
In the Civil War, Mr. Wierman served as a volunteer in Company K. 165th Pennsylvania Infantry, enlisted at Camp Gettysburg, under Colonel Charles H. Buehler. He saw active service until the close of the War. He was a member the of Peter Miller Post, York Springs, until the disbanding of that origination.
Mr. Wierman was born in the County and spent practically his entire life here, with the exception of a few years in Texas. He is survived by one sister, Miss Mary Wierman, (Should be Mrs. as she married her cousin, Thomas Wierman.) Wier, Texas, and his niece, Mrs. Maude Wierman Kennedy.
Funeral services Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock, meeting at the house. Isaac Wilson, of Biglerville, conducting the service of the Society of Friends, of which Mr. Wierman was a member. Interment in the Lutheran Church Yard at York Springs. (T)

Henry H. Wierman, of Wierman's Mill, a native of Adams County and veteran of the Civil War, died February lst at the home of his niece, Mrs. Maude Wierman Kennedy, at Wierman Mill, aged 85 years. He was known to most of his friends as "Doctor" Wierman.
