Zona Gail Cantley, 64 of Nitro went home to be with the Lord on Thursday January 29, 2009 at CAMC Memorial Division Hospital, Charleston, WV.

Born July 7, 1944 in Eleanor she was a daughter of the late Peyton Lewis and Anna Roberta Neal Newman, Jr.

She was a graduate of Buffalo High School Class of 1962 and a graduate of West Virginia State College with a degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Computer Science. She was an accounts payable clerk with CAMC. She was a member of Twin City Bible Church in Nitro where she was secretary and treasurer of The Joy Class, a member of the Bell Choir and the Awana Club. She was also active with the Relay for Life Walks.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, James W. Cantley; her daughters and sons-in-law; Robin D. and Manuel Sotelo of Idaho, Carol L. and Rick Harvey of Mount Nebo, WV; sister and brother-in-law; Patricia L. and Russell W. McCarty of Hilliard, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law; William E. and Joan Newman of Titusville, FL, Patrick L. and Flora Newman of San Diego, CA, Authur A. Newman; her five grandchildren and the loves of her life, Michael H. Townsend and his wife Shenna, Brittany N. Jasuta, Courtney N., Chelsea M. and Lucas S. Nichols and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday February 2, 2009 at Twin City Bible Church, Nitro, WV with Pastor Scott Bandy and Pastor Brandon Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Eleanor, WV.

Friends may call from 6-9 pm Sunday February 1, 2009 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, WV.
