She was 73 and a native of Walls. Visiting at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Port Allen, on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Byrd. Interment in Old Folk Home Cemetery, Port Allen. Survived by three daughters, Patricia V. Taylor, Beverly T. Thompkins and Debbie T. Jackson, all of Port Allen; two sons-in-law, Corey A. Thompkins and Carl Jackson, both of Port Allen; sister, Willie Mae Guss of Port Allen; two aunts, Ora Lee P. Brown and Isabell Parker, both of Port Allen; and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Nora Taylor; and brother, Gilbert T. Taylor. Margaret attended Southern University and was a great basketball player and orator.
