Peggy Ann Abbott was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on May 23, 1953, the eldest daughter of Herbert and Edna Abbott. With family at her side, she passed peacefully on Tuesday evening. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Ted Abbott of Redwood City, CA, Ginny A. Little (Larry) of Chesterfield, VA, Barbara A. Buchanan (Lee) of Oakton, VA, and Bruce Abbott of Richmond, VA. She will also be remembered by her nephews and nieces, Steven Little of Brooklyn, NY, Christy Little of Richmond, VA, Bruce Abbott, Jr. of Wasilla, AK, and Lauren Horcsik of Wasilla, AK. Also treasuring her memory is her significant other of over twenty-five years, Keith McAlpine. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of the Virginia Home for the loving care they have provided in these last years. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Bliley's–Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, VA 23224. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Virginia Home on Saturday, May 16, 2009. A graveside service will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens on Rte. 53 in Charlottesville, VA at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peggy's name to the Virginia Home, 1101 Hampton Street, Richmond, VA 23220, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2112 W.
