Lena Baker, 90, of Battiest, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at Brookwood Nursing and Rehab in De Queen, Arkansas. She was born on December 31, 1923 in Battiest, Oklahoma the daughter of Calvin Carney and Leason Watson Carney. She was a member of the Battiest Baptist Church, in Battiest, Oklahoma. She loved attending Choctaw Singings, sewing, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommy Baker, a son Elwood Baker, an infant son, 3 daughters Phyllis Baker, Leila Baker and Leona Baker, and Brother Wallace Carney.

Lena leaves to cherish her memory Daughters, Lula Sanders and husband Bob of Broken Bow, Ok; Wanda Bohanan and husband Doug of Battiest, Ok; Cynthia Ford and husband Mike of McAlester, Ok; Sister Annie Noah of Battiest, Ok; 5 grandsons Brian Sanders and wife Denise of Broken Bow, Ok; Michael Bohanan and Brandon Bohanan of Battiest, Ok; David Williamson and Michael Williamson of McAlester, Ok . 2 granddaughters Vickie Sanders Rhyne and husband Steve of Broken Bow, Ok; and Juanita Williamson of McAlester, Ok; 16 Great grandchildren and 1 Great Great granddaughter.

Visitation will be Thursday January 16, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bunch - Singleton Funeral Home. Services will be Friday January 17, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Battiest Baptist Church, with Mike Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at the Battiest Cemetery in Battiest, Ok;
