Abraham and his family moved to Lucas from Dallas County in 1900. He ran a
cotton gin in the early years. He and his wife, Janette, were the parents of six
children: Isabel, Pearl, Clifton, Evy, George and Johnny. Of the group, only
George, who married Pearl McCormac of St. Paul, Collin County, and Johnny, who
married Sadie Spears, stayed in Lucas.
