—Out-of-town guests at the funeral of Roy (sic) Bailey were Mrs. Emma Ellison of Keokuk, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Cal March and son of Kirksville, Pvt. and Mrs. George Sharrer of Santa Maria air field, Santa Maria, California.
—Roy (sic) Bailey passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, la., May 10 and was brought to Macon to Stephens & Goodding Funeral Home Friday morning. On Saturday afternoon the body was taken to the home in Anabel until the funeral hour. Services were held at Bethlehem Church Sunday evening and burial was in the nearby cemetery.
Roy (sic) Bailey was born in Elrino, Okla., in 1896 but lived most of his life in Macon Counly except the time spent in the service of Uncle Sam in World War I. Nov. 13, 1927 he was married to Mrs. Mitty B. Sharrer and to this union four children were born, Velma, Roy (sic), Jr., and two babies who passed away in infancy.
Surviving besides his wife and two children are five step-children, one sister and several brothers.
