HOMER JACKSON RITCHIE, age 63, Antique Lane, Cynthiana, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at his home with his family. Born in Harrison County, March 2, 1944, to the late Cernsey and Kathern Richardson Ritchie, he was retired from TI Automotive (Bundy Tubing) in Cynthiana after thirty six years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Ritchie and Richard Ritchie and seven sisters, Dolly Moore, Mary Fryman, Marie Fryman, Bobbie Sexton, Janie Highlander, Gayle Ritchie and Virginia Ritchie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred Carson Ritchie; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen Ritchie, Georgetown and Kevin Ritchie, Cynthiana; two wonderful grandchildren, Derek and Rachel Ritchie, Georgetown; three brothers, Cernsey Ritchie, Paris and Donnie Ritchie and Ronnie Ritchie, both of Harrison County and three sisters, Bonnie Beckett, Ruby Conner and Rosie Kiskaden, all of Cynthiana.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Burial will be in Barterville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Homer's honor to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Active pallbearers will be Rex Lynn Carson, Raymond Ritchie, Charles Allen Carson, Frazier Fryman, Chris Carson and Randy Ritchie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Garrison, Sammy Dunn, Ronnie Blackburn, Doug King, Mike Wade and Mike Sowder. www.warefuneralhome.com
