Mrs. Alexander died on Tues., Dec. 14, 1999, at Cookeville Manor Health Care Center.
She was a native of Putnam County and the daughter of the late John Anderson and Mahalia Ann King Elmore. Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker and also with the McMurray Roberson Department Store for a number of years.
Her family includes a brother, John Anderson Elmore Jr. of Lenoir City; a special cousin, Edith Slagle of Cookeville; and four nieces, Betty Elmore of Lenoir City, Mary Ann Goolsby of Cookeville, Maxine Polston of Chattanooga, and Mary Lelen Smith of Huntsville, Ala.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Alexander; and two sisters, Nina Gibbons and Dora White.
Pallbearers will be Harlan Mullins, Charlie Hutchinson, Wheeler Madewell, Joe and Randall Goolsby, Russell Polston, and Hubert Allison.
Bill Blankenship will officiate at the services.
