Funeral services for Miss Edna Atkinson, 45, who died Saturday night at Manteno, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sidell Christian church, with Rev. Frank J. Gilroy officiating. Interment followed in Davis cemetery near Fairmount.
Miss Atkinson had been blind since birth, and had lived in Sidell all her life until the past few months. The daughter of Cornelius and Addie Atkinson, she was born here January 4, 1899. She is survived by her mother; two sisters, Miss Lurley Atkinson of Danville and Mrs. Ethel Brewer of Fairmount; two brothers, Raymond and Doss Atkinson, both of Harvey. Her father and s sister, Celia, preceded her in death.
