*Note: The obituary of Robert's sister, Nancy Toliver, notes two "stepsisters [sic]," and the obituary of his mother, Carmella (Vespa) Cimei, notes that Carmella was preceded in death by two daughters, leading to the presumption that Julia and Clara Tuchella were Robert's half-sisters, not step-sisters. "Tuchella" is likely a phonetic spelling of their surname. Found in the Illinois Statewide Death Index is Julia Tuccilla, died November 15, 1922, Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, and Clara Tuccella, died March 7, 1919, South Fork Twp., Christian Co., Illinois. The relationships of these two are not confirmed, but they are noted here to demonstrate alternative spellings of the surname and, perhaps, provide clues for interested parties.
