Larry Green, 77, of Metropolis, formerly of Danville, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Metropolis on July 11, 1936 to Ervin and Ruth Barton Green. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly Green; two brothers, Bill and Bob Green and one sister, Iris Green. He married Eilene Bailey on Aug. 31, 1957. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, Marsha Rae (Roy) Ford and David Linn (Connie) Green; grandchildren, Mindy Wallace, Forrest Green and Stephanie Green; great-grandchildren, Brayden Higgins, Raylan Wallace and Kolly Wallace; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce (Jesse) Goines; one brother, Melvin (Marcia) Green and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of Local 782 Iron Workers.
