Laura J. Devore was the daughter of Andrew J. and Nancy (Welling) Devore of Harrison County, Ohio. Her only sibling was Clarence W. Devore. She married John Lee Yetzer on July 16, 1890 in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa. They lived in Iowa, and briefly in Nebraska before moving to Canada in 1911. They had 2 sons who were born In Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa: Joseph Devore Yetzer settled in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and William Frederick Yetzer lived in Globe, Arizona. Laura and her husband lived in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
