Funeral services for Forrest Alfred Rhoades, age 66, were conducted Monday under the direction of the Block Funeral Home. A longtime resident of Richvale, Rhoades died January 7 at the Oroville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born January 13, 1910 in Colby, Kansas, and resided on Richvale South Road in Richvale and in Butte County for 40 years. Retired, he was last employed by the Glen Harris Ranch.
He is survived by his widow Myrtle Sarah Rhoades of Richvale; a son, James F. Rhoades of Biggs; daughter Joan Ramirez of Biggs; two brothers and one sister and five grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at the Gridley-Biggs Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Meanor of the Gridley Presbyterian Church officiating.
