Shown is the German death record in the German newspaper " Friedens Bote" for John Oswald.

Basic Translation (I believe):
Around 10th of March of Nervous Fever in the 70th year, Mr. John Oswald a (?) and respected dignitary of Lynn Township, Lehigh County. The following Thursday, his body was accompanied by a large entourage on God's acre at which occasion, Rev. Jager gave speeches in the church.

The Oswald Book, written by the Rev. Charles E.C. Oswald lists John Oswald was a man of wealth for his day. Solomon Oswald is credited in the book as replacing the original gravestones of his grandparents with the ones currently seen on Find A Grave. The book lists the following children from his marriage to Anna Maria Mosser:
1. John, born Oct. 2, 1789 & died March 24, 1827
2. Daniel, born Oct. 12, 1792 & died April 18, 1861
3. Benjamin, born Nov. 11, 1796 & died April 28, 1872
4.Jacob, born Jul. 1, 1800 & died Oct. 28, 1863 (book had dates for Jacob & his wife, Magdalena reversed.
5.Gideon, born March 1, 1807 & died Nov. 9, 1892
6. Samuel, born April 1, 1808 & died Dec. 5, 1881 (book has 12.6.1880)
7.Joseph, died in his 18th year, unmarried, burial unknown.
8.Elias, died in early childhood, burial unknown.
9.Anna Maria, born Mar. 10, 1791 & died Nov. 1, 1868
10. Catharine, dates unknown, married Reuben Lutz.
