Construction engineer. Co-owner of a general store in Lutesville. Formed the Abernathy & Higgins Tie and Lumber Co, with his father-in-law. Also owned the Abernathy and Higgins Chevrolet, which became Higgins Chevrolet.
He was a charter member of the Rotary Club of Marble Hill-Lutesville, District # 609.

NOTE: Daughter (Dorothy)'s obituary has middle name as Aaron; World War I draft registration has middle name as Alvin.
