We mourn the passing of Audrey Jean Langlands-Weiss, of Las Vegas. She passed away Feb. 2, 2011. Audrey was preceded in death by her first husband, Stewart Langlands and her parents, Karl and Marjorie Wood. She is survived by her husband, Bill Weiss; daughter, Jane (Donald) Forest; son, Keith Langlands; grandchildren, Nichole, David, Kevin, Brandon, Lauren, Kelli and Dylan; and great-grandchildren, Byron and Donald. Audrey was born in Detroit, July 17, 1936. Early in her life, her family relocated to Canoga Park, Calif., where Audrey raised her children. While in California, Audrey was proudly employed by Walt Disney Studios where she worked as a form designer. She was actively involved with The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, which taught leadership training through community service. Audrey relocated to Las Vegas, where she had been a resident for 28 years. While in Las Vegas, Audrey was employed as a legal assistant by the law firm of Thorndal, Backus, Maupin and Armstrong, for approximately 10 years. She found joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey loved traveling with Bill and experiencing everything the world had to offer. She will be dearly missed. Audrey had requested that in lieu of flowers, she would like donations made to The Crossings Christian Church at 7950 W. Windmill Lane, Las Vegas.
Viewing will be 12-1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, at Davis Memorial Park, with services to immediately follow.
