RIMERSBURG - Mrs. Edna M. Lerch of South Main Street died Wednesday evening at Sugarcreek Rest, Worthington RD 1, after an extended illness. She was 77.
Born January 24, 1897, in Rimersburg, she was a daughter of William and Mary McAninch Hugus. She was married to William Ellsworth Lerch, who died in 1972.
A lifelong resident of Rimersburg, Mrs. Lerch was a member of Rimersburg United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Millicent) Murphy of Knox, Mrs. Jack (Laura A.) Reid of Shippenville and Mrs. Kent (Miriam) Kline of Knox; four sons, Emil Lerch of Chicora, Donald R. Lerch of East Liverpool, Ohio, Winfield Lerch of Rimersburg and William Lerch of Tucson, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren and five great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Lewis and Charles.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm today and until the time of services at 2 pm Saturday at the J. D. Miller Funeral Home. Rev. David L. Cook, pastor of the Rimersburg United Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Rimersburg Cemetery.
