George Humberston was the son of Thomas Humberston, Sr. (1754-12 July 1803) and Jane Galford (1 Feb 1752-1808.
George married Lydia Winebrenner 25 Feb. 1812 in Allegany Co., MD, by the Rev. Shaw; and they had eleven children:
They are Mary, Salem, George Jr., William S., Rachel, Selina, Frisby Tilney, Azariah, Noah, Barbara, Franklin. They were all born before 1839.
Some of the family members went by Humbertson, Humberston and Humberson.
George and Lydia are buried in Addison Cemetery in Addison, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

(Some facts from my Humbertson Family History---Before 1814 he resided on the Vale farm below Frostburg, Md.
Taken from the book "Hoye's pioneer Families of Garrett County"
"George purchased 78 acres, parts of lots 3952-47 from Thomas Parkinson in 1814. These lots are below Barton, Md.
Around 1851 he moved to Mill Run, where that year he bought part of "Expost Facto" and the George Riley Farm.
Then he operated the Sambower Mill, known as Niles Mill. In 1858 his heirs sold this property to Salem Humbertson for $7,500."
