DANIELS - James Dewey Pack, 81, of Daniels died March 7, 1999, in the VA Medical Center, Beckley, after a short illness.
He was retired from Union Carbide, was a Primitive Baptist and an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving: wife, Clara Mable Vest Pack; son, Jim of Daniels; daughters, Joyce Stover and Janet Cobb, both of Charleston, Donna Meador of Daniels; brothers, Clifton and Lando, both of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Elsie Houchins and Myrtle Howell, both of Dayton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Prosperity, with Pastor Mark Schrade and Alex Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with military rites by VFW Post 4326, Sophia-Midway. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
