Funeral services for Rev. Richard H. Crowe, 87, of Anniston, will be Sunday, January 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Rev. Rodney Gilmore and the Rev. Eric Arrington officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight, January 12, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Crowe passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. An Alabama native, Rev. Crowe was a member of Golden Springs Congregational Methodist Church, where he served as Associate Pastor for the past 7 years. He had served as a Minister of Music for many years and had worked at Sears for 32 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae Crowe; a son, Harold Crowe; parents, Finn Mathis and Lorena Belle Crowe; and brothers and sisters, Rev. Finn M. Crowe Jr., Rev. Charles W. Crowe, Rev. Floyd Crowe, Rev. Edwin Crowe, James Crowe, Lorena Simmons, Marie Pope, and Doris Hughes. Survivors include a son, Terry Crowe and his wife, Darlene, of Anniston; daughter-in-law, Donna Crowe, of Fairhope; grandchildren, Michelle Mooneyham and her husband, Doug, of Anniston, Shauna Adair and her husband, Demetrius, of Oregon, Rachel Freeman, of Tuscaloosa, Bethany Woelk and her husband, Bradly, of Sylacauga, Amy Byrd and her husband, Johnathan, of Grand Bay, Emily Eberwine and her husband, James, of Louisiana, and Megan Crowe and William Crowe, both of Fairhope; great-grandchildren, Jack, Rebecca, John Allen, Melissa, and Luke Mooneyham, Alma and Forrest Adair, Braylee Woelk, and Quinton Byrd; sister, Betty Hunter, of Anniston; brother, William G. Crowe, of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be members of Rev. Crowe's family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Golden Springs Congregational Methodist Church, 217 Carol Lane, Anniston, AL 36207.
