MAUDE L. (LARRANCE) SPORE
(NOTE: I have notes about Maude from the Myers, Mannon & Larrance families, in some her name is spelled Maud other times it's spelled Maude. Also Maude and Rose Larrance had a 3rd cousin by the name of Martha Jane "Mattie" Larrance b. 1865 d. 1910 which has sometimes in history records been confused for this Maude Larrance.)

Maude Larrance was the elest daughter of Noah Noble and Amanda Alice (Mannon) Larrance. She was born in New Boston, Mercer County, Illinois.

Amanda Alice Mannon, was the second child and first daughter of Cyrus Tribute and Jane (Myers) Mannon, b. 1/6/1845 New Boston, Mercer County, IL. Noah Noble Larrance was the son of Elizabeth (Swafford) and Jonathan Larrance, he was born 11/28/1864 in Indiana.

Sadly, Amanda (Alice) died on 3/2/1869 at the young age of 24. She is buried in the New Boston, Mercer County, Illinois Cemetery. Maude was 3yrs and her sister Rose was 1yr when they lost their mother. They were taken in & raised by their grandparents, Cyrus T. & Jane (Myers) Mannon. The girls were reared and educated by Cyrus & Jane, just as carefully as their own children.

In the 1880 census Maude and her sister Rose are found with Grandma Jane (Myers) Mannon, in Harvey County, Kansas living next door to the Henry & Elvy (Mannon) Prouty family. Elvy (Mannon) Prouty, was an aunt to the two Larrance girls.

Maude married William Lawrence Spore in 1888 in Newton, Kansas. William, was the son of Louisa (Waller) and Hiram Harland Spore. He was born Sept 22, 1858 in Shebyville, Illinois.

Maude and William had one son, Lawrence Elmo, born Dec 25, 1890, in Newton, Kansas. Maude was a graduate nurse, specializing in maternity work. The family lived in Watago, Oklahoma until 1906, then they moved near Paonia, Coloado, where Mr. Spore was a fruit farmer.

Maude died abt 1955 in Colorado.
