--Zora Lea Howerton, daughter of G. E. and Rhoda Cockrum, departed this life July 21, 1905, at her home near Novelty, Mo., aged 21 years and 5 months.
--She was married to Clarence E. Howerton Dec. 21, 1902. To this union were born two sons. She united with the Christian church when quite young and was a faithful follower of her Savior.
--She leaves a husband, two children, father, mother, three brothers, one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her departure.
--Zora was a good daughter, a loving wife and mother, a kind friend and neighbor.
--The funeral discourse was delivered at Pleasant Prairie church, after which her body was laid to rest in the King cemetery. Zora will be sadly missed by her family and circle of friends.
