Paw, Marie Snow Rumfield, age 89 left this earth on September 25, 2010 on the wings of an angel to join her beloved husband, Andrew "Dud" of 62 years who passed away on September 23, 2000.
Marie was born in Honea, Texas to John Thomas Snow and Minnie Gilbert Evans Snow. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Minnie Snow; brothers John Robert and Gilbert Snow; grandson David Wayne Kroll and twin great grandsons Taylor and Tyler Michna.
Survivors are; daughter Donnette Hall of Dobbin Texas; sister Ruby Paul of Conroe, Zella Mae Parsley of Kuntz Texas; brother Bennard Snow and wife Betty of Clarksville Tennessee; grandsons Mitchell Kroll and wife Mary of Navasota, Robert Michna and companion Donna Woods of Dobbin; granddaughter Shiree Berry and companion, Mike Strack of Montgomery and special, loving, friend and care giver Marie Wiese of Montgomery; great granddaughters, Macy Michna and companion Allen Reeder of Lake Jackson Texas, Logan and Kinley Kroll, Camryn Berry and Corley Strack, Kody and Ryder Michna, Destani Miller of Dobbin; great-great granddaughters Kylee and Khloey Reeder.
Marie also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
Marie is a member of Montgomery Chapter #228 OES for 31 years, and Worthy Matron. She was also a member of The American Legion Auxiliary 618 of Willis, Texas.
Marie retired after serving 38 years as Dobbin's postmistress. In the 38 years she was very dedicated to her job and her customers. She always greeted them with a kind word and assisted them in any way she could. Marie loved fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Serving as pallbearers are; George Abney, OD Patrick, Freddy Thomas, Junior Mock, Kenny Mock, Mickey Mock, Walter Avila, and Douglas Hammock; honorary pallbearer is Ricky Berger.
The service will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery Texas on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10am, burial will be at Copeland Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, September 27, 2010.
